Frequently Asked Questions

What is an exclusive and a semi-exclusive?

Exclusive recipes are created for one blogger. The recipe photos and document are unique, and are made just for you and your readers. These recipes are more expensive, but the exclusivity can increase your return on investment.

Semi-exclusive recipes are created for multiple bloggers. The recipe document and process photos are shared. Each set of the recipe will include a unique set of hero photos with different backdrops, linens, tableware and styling items. Because they are shared, these recipes are more affordable.

All products in my shop are clearly labeled as either exclusive or semi-exclusive in the product title and listing. If the recipe is a semi-exclusive, it will include a note about how many sets are available.

Do I own the copyright to photos I purchase?

I understand you need maximum flexibility for your business. That's why, upon purchase, I transfer copyright to all unique purchased images to you.* You may use the photos on your website and social media, on products you create, or for any reason for your business or personal use. You may sell the photos to another blogger if you decide not to use them.

As the photographer, I retain a license to use all photos for the purpose of marketing and building my photography business. That includes, for example, using them in my portfolio and newsletter, and on this website.

*You will not have exclusive rights to the shared photos in semi-exclusive sets. Those photos can be used without limit by all customers who purchase a set of that semi-exclusive product. Occasionally, I create a semi-exclusive recipe where I sell one set of photos and keep one set for my own personal blog. In that instance, I retain the right to use all shared photos in that semi-exclusive set without limit for my blog, as if I were a paying customer.

Do you create the recipes yourself?

Yes! I know that the reputation of your business depends on high quality, unique content. You can rest assured that all the recipes you purchase from me are:

  1. Tested and perfected by me in my own kitchen.
  2. Written in my own words with specific, easy-to-follow instructions, notes and tips.
  3. Copyscape checked to ensure no inadvertent plagiarism.
  4. Photographed by me in my home studio.

It is my professional guarantee that any recipe you buy from me is my original work.

What I cannot guarantee is that every recipe you buy from me will be markedly different from other similar recipes on the internet. It is widely accepted in the industry that simple, classic dishes will look much the same across food publishers. For example, a 3-ingredient dump cake or a classic mojito cocktail made by me will likely have the same ingredients and general process as other recipes. Lists of ingredients are not protected by copyright, and you have just as much right to publish simple, classic recipes as anyone else. My aim with these recipes is to ensure that the recipe is perfected, the writing is unique, and the photos are scroll-stopping, so that your mojito stands out from the pack!

Do you offer refunds?

Due to the digital nature of my products, all sales are final, and I cannot offer refunds. I stand behind my work, and if there is ever a problem with your purchased recipe or photos, please email me at danielleelainephoto@gmail.com so I can make it right!
